McDonald's is happy to assist local schools, sporting groups and other community organisations with their fundraising efforts. We can do this through a variety of ways:

  • Fundraising nights
  • Donations and raffle prizes
  • Sponsorship

Fundraising Nights are an excellent example of a long term community program assisting local groups to meet their fundraising objectives. McDonald's donates a percentage of sales (10%) during a specific period of time to the organisation.  All you need to do is to encourage as many members, family and friends to show their support by purchasing their food either by dining in or driving through the relevant McDonald's during the specified fundraising time. We also encourage you to sell raffle tickets and ask for donations to raise further funds.

Donations and raffle prizes are another way McDonald's can support your organisation. We have a variety of items, e.g. vouchers, travel mugs and lunch boxes which can be donated to your group to undertake your own fundrasing efforts.

Sponsorship applications are welcomed by McDonald's and can be provided either in the form of a cash donation or goods in kind.

However please understand that we do receive many requests. Each application is assessed on its own merits and in alignment with our strategic direction.

To find out more about any of these options or to make a request, please download the Application Form and Contact Us.

McHappy Day

McHappy Day is all about celebrating community spirit and we would like to invite you to participate in this fundraising event on Saturday 19 November 2022. We have a range of guests and activities, including facepainting and colouring in at Beenleigh, Eagleby, Holmview and Logan Central. We also have a bake sale at Eagleby and a carwash at Beenleigh, and a live radio broadcast by 101 FM at Logan Central. We have a raffle with amazing prizes donated by local businesses and silly socks (whilst socks last!) for $5 and helping hands from $2.

Our 30th anniversary of McHappy Day took place last year on Saturday, 13 November 2021 when McDonald's raised much needed funds and celebrated the wonderful cause of Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia. Thanks to you, McHappy Day raised over $5.2m, equating to over 25,000 bed nights for Australian families at one of the 18 Ronald McDonald Houses across Australia.

McHappy Day raises valuable funds to support seriously ill children and their families at a time when they need it most through programs including Ronald McDonald House, the Ronald McDonald Learning Program, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms and Ronald McDonald Family Retreats.
